September 10, 2024LIV Golf Chicago Odds and Picks
September 11, 2024The PGA Tour gets back into action this week with the Procore Championship in Napa, California. This will be the first event of the FedExCup Fall schedule with defending champion Sahith Theegala listed as the favorite with odds of +950 at Caesars. The FedExCup Fall schedule finalizes the top 125 players who get exempt status for the 2024 PGA Tour schedule. While we won’t see a lot of top players in FedExCup Fall events, there will still be a few players who choose to compete. This year’s tournament will feature Theegala, Max Homa and 2023 U.S. Open champion Wyndham Clark. Theegala and Clark are the top two betting choices, followed by Corey Conners, Homa and top amateur Luke Clanton. This is a tournament for longshots, as all 13 previous winners had odds between 28-1 and 200-1. Let’s look at Procore Championship odds and picks.
Reduced juice betting is one of the best ways for any sports bettor to save money and far too many people don’t take advantage of it. If you are not playing at a sportsbook that offers reduced juice betting then you are simply giving away money. Check out the latest Procore Championship odds at Caesars.
Venue: Silverado Resort (North Course) is a par 72 that measures 7,123 yards. The course has hosted a PGA Tour event since 2014. The course has Bermudagrass with Poa Annua fairways and greens.
Last Year: This event is where Theegala got his first PGA Tour win a year ago, as he won by two shots over S.H. Kim. Theegala started the final round with a two-shot lead and his final round 68 was enough to close out the win. Cam Davis finished in third, Eric Cole in fourth and Justin Thomas was fifth.

Favorite
Sahith Theegala +950
Unless it is Scottie Scheffler, you can pretty much throw out betting on any other golf favorite. Favorites in golf betting simply don’t win enough to be profitable and even betting on Scheffler isn’t a guarantee, although he did win quite a few times this season. Theegala is the defending champion and players have won this event in back-to-back years, as Brendon Steele did it in 2016-17 and Max Homa in 2021-22. That being said, I simply don’t back favorites other than Scheffler except on extremely rare occasions and this is not one of them.
Golf Picks
Maverick McNealy +2200
There is no question that McNealy is playing some of the best golf in his PGA Tour career. He is looking to get a place in the Aon Next 10 this Fall and there is no reason he can’t compete this week. He already has four top-10 finishes this season. He plays well on courses like this one that demand accuracy and good putting and in 2021 he finished second in this event.
Brendon Todd +3000
One player who knows how to win in what is really a weak field is Todd. He also comes in playing with a six top 25 finishes. He ranks 6th in Strokes Gained in his last 24 rounds and he ranks highly in Birdie or Better Percentage. He has played well on this course with a T22 in 2021, T9 in 2022 and he was 6th last year.
J.J. Spaun +3500
You have to like the way that Spaun is playing of late with a 10th at the Rocket Mortgage Classic, 9th at the 3M Open and a 3rd at the Wyndham Championship last time out. He ranks highly in this field in Approach, Tee to Green and Strokes Gained. He is also a player looking to finish in the Aon Next 10. He has played well at Silverado in the past with a couple of high finishes.
Matt Kuchar +6000
We saw Kuchar contend at the Wyndham and there is no reason he can’t contend this week. He has finished in the top 25 in three of his last five starts. This is a great spot for him, as he has finished T12 and T7 in his past two trips and he ranks highly in a number of categories this week.
Charley Hoffman +10000
Hoffman is capable of putting together a good run and contending. He is up to 81st in the FedEx Cup standings and he is playing well with an 8th at the Barracuda and a 12th at the Wyndham. He is another player who likes this type of course and he ranks well in Off the Tee, Approach and Tee to Green numbers. He has also played well in West Coast events in the past.Check out the latest Procore Championship odds at Caesars.
