Oregon Ducks at Wisconsin Badgers Same Game Parlay Picks
February 20, 2025The Purdue Boilermakers aim to sweep the in-state rival Indiana Hoosiers for the second straight year when the heated rivalry resumes Sunday afternoon at Assembly Hall in Bloomington. Matt Painter’s kids enter this tilt looking to end a three-game losing streak after falling at Michigan State earlier in the week. Indiana will have had nine days to prepare for this one last taking the court on Friday of the previous week when they dropped a tough 72-68 decision to the UCLA Bruins.
The Boilers took a third straight in the recent rivalry when they edged the Hoosiers 81-76 in Mackey Arena but grossly failed to cover the closing 12.5-point CBB betting odds. The win moved them to 7-3 straight up (SU) and 5-5 against the spread (ATS) the last 10 times these rivals squared off on the hardwood. The match played to an over moving it to 4-1 in the last five meetings with 150.2 points scored on average. I expect Purdue to be laying 5-6 points at PROLINE+ for the rematch with the total lined in the mid to high-140s.

Purdue Boilermakers
The Boilermakers lost a third straight for the first time in five years on Tuesday night after falling 75-66 at Michigan State as 3-point underdogs. Purdue seemingly had control leading by seven points midway through the first half, but allowed the Spartans to close it on a tear which resulted in a 33-31 deficit at the break. It didn’t get much better over the final 20 minutes either. With Trey Kaufman-Renn saddled with foul trouble throughout, MSU took advantage inside tallying 42 paint points and scored 19 more off turnovers to score the home win and cover.
While TKR and Braden Smith held up their ends of the bargain combining for 41 points, eight rebounds and 10 assists, not a single other player registered double-digits in scoring. Fletcher Loyer only managed eight points on 2-of-5 shooting. Purdue’s struggles will persist unless additional scoring options can step up on a more consistent basis.
Indiana Hoosiers
The Hoosiers churned out one of their more effective halves of basketball over the final 20 minutes against the Bruins, and yet, it still proved to not be enough to allow Mike Woodson’s team to get in the win column. Trailing by as many as 13 points in the first half and 10 at the break, Indiana put the pedal to the metal in the second half outscoring UCLA 43-37 but still ended up on the wrong end of a 72-68 defeat—a tough one to stomach for CBB bettors that took the 2.5-point on the college basketball betting lines.
Luke Goode scored a team-high 16 points and added seven rebounds, while Mackenzie Mgbako and Malik Reneau chipped in with 14 apiece. Oumar Ballo, the team’s leading scorer, had another off night going for nine points and only five boards making it three of the last four games that the big man failed to tally a double-double.
Same Game Parlay Picks
I snagged the points and hit the under when these teams’ paths crossed in West Lafayette at the end of January. Though the match played to a high scorer right from the jump, Purdue was never in a position to cover the lofty 12-point spread earning the same game parlay a split. Defense proved to be nonexistent in that one with both squads shooting 52+ percent from the field with a lofty 76 total points tallied in the paint. The combined score raced passed the closing 144.5-point total regardless of only 9-of-32 attempted shots hitting paydirt from beyond the arc. A whopping 30 total turnovers that led to 41 points had much to do with that.
For a game that only had 68 combined possessions, it was tough to accept how easily the first match surpassed the total. Hot shooting and turnovers played enormous roles as to why. My stance won’t change for the rematch. I still believe Indiana is a much better team than its 15-11 overall and 6-9 Big Ten records suggest. They had PU on the ropes in Mackey in the first go-round, but failed to administer the death blow. The opportunity was there however. Back home in the comforts of its own gym on extended rest, I fully expect Indiana to bring its “A” game to the court and be in a position to extend the Boilermakers’ misery.
