Caesars took a less is more approach with the main page setup for both its app and website. Visually, it’s very reminiscent of everything else out there in the market; yet still different. All the sports offered are listed on the left-hand side of the page. Scrolling graphics are placed at the top in the middle. Below that is another “popular” section that has the most popular sporting events listed. That’s where it gets tricky and a bit tough to navigate; especially on the app. I’m not exactly sure why Caesars felt the need to have everything located right smack dab in the middle of the page along with all individual sports listed on the left. It could get confusing and force many an inexperienced customer to scroll for days before finding the game they want to place a bet on. You’re much better off just clicking the sport on the left-hand side to get to the matchup much quicker. Other than that, the sites themselves are visually appealing and fast enough to handle the most dedicated of live bettor’s action.

Betting Options at Caesars

Moneyline: When betting on teams to simply just win outright, you’re betting moneylines. In order to win this bet type, the team simply has to win the game. 

Point spread: This is the most popular of all wager types. Point spreads incorporate a handicap that forces a team to beat another by a market-driven determined amount of points. If the Jets are favored by 6-points against the Giants, they’d have to win the game by seven to cash in. If the end result is a five point win, the Giants would bring home the bacon. If it lands six, it’s a push and all monies wagered are refunded.

Totals: Otherwise coined the over/under, this wager type accounts for the total amount of points scored in a game, half, quarter, period, etc. if the total is 46 and 47 points are scored, the over cashes in. If only 45 points hit the board, under bettors get to do a victory lap. If it lands directly on 46, it’s a push and all monies wagered are refunded.

Parlays: While parlays offer up big paydays, these types of bets are a bookies best friend. It’s hard enough to win one bet let alone two, three, four or whatever amount of legs you tie into one single bet. Each and every one of them must come in to get paid out. But if they do, it’s surf and turf for everyone!!

Teaser: This wager type is set up exactly like a parlay in that you group a number of bets into one ticket and all legs need to cash to come out a winner. However, they payout at a substantially lower margin due to being able to manipulate the pointspread 6-7 points in your favor. It might sound like it’s easy to cash in, but it’s not; hence the name of the bet – TEASER.

Live betting: Also described as in-game betting, this wager type allows sports bettors to bet on a game as it plays out. All point spread, totals and moneylines are adjusted on the fly after the game begins. It’s an exciting form of betting that’s taken the industry by storm!

Props: These wager types deal solely with how players perform in a predetermined matchup. Examples include the number of rushing yards Saquon Barkley gains in a game or if Pete Alonso hits another moonshot into the cheap seats. 

Futures: These types of bets are determined over a predetermined amount of time. These types of bets are attractive due to big payouts, but just know the book isn’t offering up true odds as its hold is absolutely ridiculous.
