College Football Week 6 Parlay Best Bets
October 4, 2023UFC Fight Night: Dawson vs. Green Picks, Predictions, and Odds
October 4, 2023Ludvig Aberg is the favorite to win this week’s Sanderson Farms Championship in Mississippi. Aberg already looks like a future star on the PGA Tour and he will be looking to get his first PGA Tour win against what is a pretty weak field. None of the top players in the world are in the field this week and that is not unusual, as the fall schedule doesn’t attract many PGA Tour stars, especially since the Ryder Cup was last week. I am coming off a 3-2 with the matchups at the last full event, the Fortinet Championship. Let’s look at Sanderson Farms Championship matchup picks.

Defending Champion: Mackenzie Hughes
Tournament Notes: The FedExCup Fall schedule gives us a lot of good action even though we won’t see many of the top players. The Country Club of Jackson is very familiar to the players and it usually is a course that favors players who drive the ball well. Putting is always important, but for those players who hit the ball a ton, they won’t be penalized as severely, as the rough this week isn’t as difficult as in previous years.

Golf Picks
Cole, Eric -114 vs. Hossler, Beau
Cole has made the cut in 11 straight starts and three weeks ago he finished fourth at Silverado. He led the field in Shots Gained: Tee-to Green that week. I know that Hossler finished in a tie for 10th in this event in 2017 and has a couple of top 30 finishes in his last six starts, but Cole is simply the better player. I’ll take Cole in this matchup.
Grillo, Emiliano -125 vs. Seong-Hyeon Kim
Grillo played well in this event a year ago with a tie for fifth and he is in the midst of the best form in his career, as he made it all the way to the TOUR Championship. Kim played well at the Fortinet and he played well in this event a year ago with a tie for 13th, but I’ll still take Grillo in this matchup.
Svensson, Adam -120 vs. Ghim, Doug
Svensson is playing well with a couple of Top 15 finishes of late and I think he can be in the mix this week. Ghim will show up on leaderboards on occasion but Svensson has been more consistent recently. I’ll take Svensson in this matchup.
Bhatia, Akshay -101 vs. List, Luke
I don’t get the price on this one, as I think Bhatia is the better player right now. Bhatia is simply underrated on a regular basis. List hasn’t done anything of note recently. I’ll take Bhatia in this matchup.
Van Rooyen, Erik -105 vs. Bezuidenhout, Christiaan
This is simply a play against Bezuidenhout. He pulled out of the Fortinet with a wrist injury and I am dubious that his wrist is suddenly better now. Maybe it is, but he’ll have to prove it to me. I’ll take Van Rooyen in this matchup.
Hoge, Tom -110 vs. Streelman, Kevin
It was a good finish for Hoge at the BMW PGA Championship three weeks ago, as he finished in the Top 15. He has three top 20 finishes lately and he is very familiar with this course, as this will be his ninth start. Streelman has not done much of late and I know he has played pretty well here in the past, but I’ll take Hoge in this matchup.
Hughes, Mackenzie -125 vs. Lipsky, David
This last play is simply a play on Hughes as the defending champion at the short price against Lipsky.
