Minnesota Vikings vs. Detroit Lions Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions
January 3, 2025The Los Angeles Rams will have absolutely nothing to play for in their Week 18 regular season finale when they run up against the Seattle Seahawks for the second and final standoff between the NFC West rivals. Though Mike Macdonald’s troops held serve in Chicago last week, the Washington Commanders comeback win in overtime against the Atlanta Falcons officially bounced them from the second season. As for Sean McVay’s squad, it locked down the NFC West title by way of scoring the competitive 13-9 home win and non-cover against the Arizona Cardinals.
The NFL odds for this rematch opened with the host Rams laying 2.5-points and the total lined 42. Current action reports find 60+ percent of the bets and 85% of the money going the way of the visitors mostly due to LA resting most of its pertinent pieces. Because of it, PROLINE+ linemakers now have Seattle installed 6.5-point road chalk marking the second straight week that the Seahawks will be laying points on the road. The total has undergone a major market correction as well with it down to 38.5 and 70+ percent of the booked handle in favor of the line move.

Seattle Seahawks vs. Los Angeles Rams NFL Same Game Parlay:
The Seattle Seahawks’ failure to defend their home turf in front of the 12th Man ultimately sealed their fate. Despite securing an ugly 6-3 victory in Chicago against the Bears to move two games above .500, Mike Macdonald’s team saw its playoff hopes dashed a few nights later. The Rams defended their own turf with an equally lackluster 13-9 win over the Cardinals, and the Commanders rallied to defeat the Falcons in overtime on Sunday Night Football, officially eliminating Seattle from the NFC playoff race. This outcome was largely a result of the Seahawks’ struggles at home, where they went a disappointing 3-6 straight up (SU) and an even worse 2-7 against the spread (ATS). Their three home victories came against teams unlikely to make the playoffs. In stark contrast, Geno Smith and his squad excelled on the road, posting a 6-1 SU record and 4-2-1 ATS, with all wins coming against non-playoff-bound teams. Given these discrepancies, it’s no surprise that Seattle sits as the No. 8 seed in the NFC, just outside the playoff picture.
The Los Angeles Rams secured a crucial victory in Week 17, grinding out a 13-9 win over the Arizona Cardinals despite failing to cover as 6.5-point favorites per the closing NFL odds. This win positioned them to clinch the NFC West title even before their Week 18 showdown with the Seattle Seahawks. Thanks to the Washington Commanders rallying in the second half and defeating the Atlanta Falcons in overtime, the NFL’s tiebreaker procedures officially crowned the Rams as division champions. LA’s defense deserves much of the credit for the win, as the offense struggled mightily, combining for just 257 total yards and 12 first downs. With Matthew Stafford and the offense unable to find a rhythm, Jared Verse and the defensive unit stepped up, forcing two turnovers and holding Arizona to a 1 of 4 showing in the red zone, even while surrendering nearly 400 yards. Without the defense’s clutch performance, the Rams’ hopes might have been dashed. Since their electrifying upset of the Bills in a game where the offense exploded for 44 points, the Rams scoring output has dwindled to 14.7 points per game over the past three weeks.
While by no means rushing to the betting window to throw my hard-earned money down on this meaningless matchup between Geno and Jimmy Garoppolo, I only have eyes for the visiting Seahawks knowing full well LA is now only concerned with next week’s Wild-Card Round match-up against either Washington or Green Bay. That paired with the Seahawks likely striving to go out with a bang with all hands on deck in hopes of earning a series split with the Rams has me leaning towards laying the road chalk—especially with Seattle’s year-long M.O. of playing better ball away from the 12th Man. A rusty Jimmy G is not likely to have much success against a locked in Seahawks defense that’s held its last seven opponents to an average of just 17.4 points per game.
