Denver Broncos at New Orleans Saints Same Game Parlay
October 15, 2024Week 8 College Football Parlay Picks
October 15, 2024The FedExCup Fall Schedule continues this week with the Shriners Children’s Open in Las Vegas where Tom Kim is the golf betting favorite. Kim will be looking to win this tournament for the third straight time, something that has not been done in more than a decade on the PGA Tour. No golfer has had a three-peat since Steve Stricker from 2009-2011 when he won the John Deere Classic. Kim is listed as the favorite at PROLINE+ at odds of 13-1. There is a big gap to everyone else, as second on the odds board is Taylor Pendrith at 26-1 and Davis Thompson at 29-1. Last week’s winner in Utah, Matt McCarty, is listed at odds of 41-1. Let’s look at Shriners Children’s Open odds and picks.

Reduced juice betting is one of the best ways for any sports bettor to save money and far too many people don’t take advantage of it. If you are not playing at a sportsbook that offers reduced juice betting then you are simply giving away money. Check out the latest Shriners Children’s Open odds at PROLINE+.

Favorite
Tom Kim 13-1
I don’t take golf betting favorites that often on the PGA Tour or on the LIV Golf Tour because they simply don’t win often enough to be profitable. Kim is one of the most frustrating players for me to watch, as he has so much talent and yet he rarely wins. I know he has won this tournament the past two years and he is the most talented golfer in the field, but I can’t take him as the betting favorite.
Golf Picks
Taylor Pendrith 26-1
Pendrith has played well of late and he finished in a tie for third in this event a year ago. He ranks highly in a number of key categories this week including Ball Striking, Total Accuracy and Tee to Green. I think there is a lot more value in taking Pendrith this week than Kim.
Davis Thompson 29-1
Thompson is another player who has good stats for this event. He is already in the Top 50 in the FedExCup standings so he will be playing in all of the Signature Events next season. He is 8th on the PGA Tour in scoring average and he has played well in the desert in the past. I think he will contend for the win this week and we get 29-1 in golf betting odds.
Cam Davis 41-1
Davis could easily have been on the International Team in the Presidents Cup but was left off by Mike Weir who really shouldn’t have been the captain. Davis is playing well and there is no reason he can’t thrive at TPC Summerlin where he played well a year ago, finishing 7th. He is definitely capable of contending this week.
Doug Ghim 61-1
One of the most accurate players off the tee is Ghim and even though the fairways are wide in Vegas, accuracy off the tee has been a winning formula in this tournament. Ghim has popped up on leaderboards this year and I think he can contend in a field that is relatively weak beyond Kim.
Daniel Berger 91-1
For my longshot this week I’ll go with Berger who is excellent in terms of driving accuracy. He needs a good result, as he is 126th in the standings. He played better at the Sanderson Farms Championship where he was in 2nd place heading into the weekend. He also had a couple of good rounds last week in Utah. He might just put it altogether this week and we get big odds. Check out the latest Shriners Children’s Open odds at PROLINE+.
