February 22, 2024New Jersey Sets All-Time Sports Betting Handle in January
February 22, 2024With the All-Star break out of the way every NBA team has had a few games to chisel off the rust. Now it’s time to get down to business with playoff spots up for grabs and positions to jockey for over the last one-third of the season. If you’re a fan of the Association and like to drop a few shekels on your favorite team, the scheduled for Sunday, February 25 has plenty to offer in terms of an NBA parlay. Doubleheaders featuring some of the top teams from each conference highlight the 11-game slate with odds for every game available at Caesars sportsbook.
The Milwaukee Bucks and Philadelphia 76ers have been struggling and one of those clubs will temporarily stop the bleeding when they clash in the first game of ABC’s twinbill. This is their first meeting since the season opener when the Bucks escaped with a 118-117 win. The second game is a West confrontation between the LA Lakers at Phoenix Suns, who are playing for the fifth time with LA holding a 3-1 edge and each club winning twice as a NBA pick against the spread. The state of California will get plenty of attention during ESPN’s evening doubleheader. Golden State hosts the defending champion Nuggets in the first matchup with Sacramento and the LA Clippers closing out the NBA betting week a 9:30 p.m. ET tip from Crypto.com Arena.

Now with all my attention focused on the NBA I’m hoping I have better results on my NBA parlays after the All-Star break than I did before. I had just one winning pick on my most recent three-team parlay and need to start winning a few to replenish the coffers. Located in the western part of the US I’ll admit I follow Western Conference teams more closely and feel I have more insight when making NBA picks. It hasn’t worked out yet, but there’s still time.
With that said one of my picks has Phoenix covering the NBA line in their matchup with the Lakers. Sure LA won three of the first four meetings, but the Suns were much better in the latter portion of the pre-break schedule and need to take advantage of their home games since their remaining slate is road heavy. The Suns were 14-4 in 18 games before the break, the best mark in the NBA, and the down time will allow Bradley Beal to recover from a hamstring injury sustained the game before the shutdown.
I mentioned the most profitable team in the NBA being Orlando, but do you know what team has the second-best record against as a NBA betting pick? That would be the Oklahoma City Thunder and they are one of four teams within three games of first place in the Western Conference. If OKC is to be a serious threat they need to put teams like the Houston Rockets away. They failed to do that when the teams met earlier in the year, but Houston has spiraled downward after a pleasant start. OKC entered the break with two straight wins covering the NBA betting line both times. They’ve also won more than 62 percent of their games against the NBA point spread.
Why not wait until the end of the day to see the NBA parlay pay off. The final game on Sunday’s slate has Sacramento visiting the Clippers. There are times when one team just has the number of its opponent and this appears to be one of them. The Clippers have a pair of double-digit wins over the Kings and LA has been the hottest ticket in the league for a few months winning 28 of 35 games ahead of the break. They closed the first half with an impressive comeback win over the scorching-hot Warriors without Kawhi Leonard and they beat the NBA point spread in nearly 55 percent of their games.
