As big last week’s Frozen Tundra showdown was, it pales in comparison for what’s about to go down in Big D Sunday night when the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys throw down with first place in the division on the line. Philly enters this tilt off getting its wings clipped in the rematch of the NFC title game against the 49ers, while “America’s Team” hung 40+ points on the board for the third time in the last four weeks to score the win and non-cover against the Seahawks. Linemakers opened this game with Dallas installed 2.5-point favorites and the total lined 48.5. The NFL betting market quickly pushed the Cowboys through the key number up to -3.5. Big action’s been taken in on the total as well with it all the way up to 52 from the 48.5-point opener. Public bettors seem to have moved both lines with the bigger money residing on the Eagles and under per current wager splits from Caesars Sportsbook which paints a picture of heavy doses of reverse line movement occurring.

No beating around the bush here! I’m still stark-raving mad about not cashing a ticket in with the Cowboys when the teams collided in the Linc back in Week 9. Dallas completely outplayed Philadelphia winning the yardage battle 406-292 and 5.8 to 4.9 yards per play, out-first downed the Eagles 27-20, and converted at a 40 percent third down clip. What ultimately did them in was Dak Prescott stepping out of bounds on a two-point conversion attempt and Luke Schoonmaker coming up less than half a yard short of scoring a touchdown. The end result was a 28-23 defeat that saw Big D come up short of covering the closing 3-point spread with the 51 combined points exceeding the closing 46.5-point O/U.

Revenge is a dish best served cold, and I firmly expect Dak to open up another can on the Eagles maligned pass defense that he already ripped for 374 yards and 3:0 TD/INT ratio once this season. Entering this tilt with the league’s No. 29 ranked pass defense, Philly’s served up 314/4, 339/2, and 177/2 to Brock Purdy, Josh Allen, and Patrick Mahomes over the last three weeks. The Chiefs QB1’s output would’ve been much better if his receiving corps could actually catch the ball. You know whose pass catchers haven’t had an issue with the “dropsies” this season? The guy under center for the Cowboys who just so happens to be neck-and-neck with Purdy to take home the regular season MVP Award. Philly’s defense is tapped right now with it in the midst of a brutal stretch that finds it running up against a fifth straight opponent likely headed to the playoffs – big showing incoming for No. 4!

Naturally, we’ll target his receiving options to wrangle as much ROI value from this Sunday Night Football same game parlay as possible. How could CeeDee Lamb not be in the mix with the Cowboys WR1 beasting his way to a career season? He was targeted 16 times in the first go-round with the Eagles and ended up with 11 receptions that went for 191 scoreless yards. News flash – he’ll hit pay dirt this time around! Also a can’t miss add to the parlay will be Jake Ferguson whose no-nonsense approach has me kicking myself for not adding him to my fantasy team months back. He too had a huge showing against Philadelphia in the first encounter (7/71/1). Per The Edge at the 33^rd Team, the Eagles have allowed a league worst 193 receptions and 21 touchdowns to opposing wide receivers. It’s also allowed a 76.6 percent catch rate (No. 27) and 6 TD (No. 31) to opposing tight ends. Dallas’ offensive PTPers are in line to eat!

I think this is a quick execution – much like what went down last week in the City of Brotherly Love. While Jalen Hurts and his mates hung tough for a quarter, it was all she wrote once San Francisco found its bearings. This time however, I don’t think it starts off well with Big D out to step on the Eagles’ collective throat right out of the chute. I firmly expect Dallas to put this one to bed early and coast to the win and cover at Caesars.
