Vermont Sports Betting Goes Live January 11th

December 29, 2023We cashed the Javonte Williams anytime touchdown and Ezekiel Elliott under rushing yards props, but the Denver Broncos lost, Bailey Zappe didn’t throw an interception, and Javonte only got 11 carries and failed to exceed his rushing yards prop. As such, we took another fat L at Caesars Sportsbook with the Sunday Night Football same game parlay. That makes it two poor showings in a row after coming so close the prior two weeks. Here’s to coming through in the final Sunday night telecast of the NFL betting season when the Vikings entertain the Packers in a pivotal NFC North Twin Cities showdown – SLAM YOUR MAN!!

When Nick Mullens was expected to be the QB1 of the Vikings, Minnesota was installed 2-point favorites to defeat the Packers on Sunday night and do their playoff chances a major solid. Now not so much with Kevin O’Connell coming out and stating Jaren Hall would indeed get the starting nod. The betting market has since bought the match down to a pick ‘em. As it stands right now, the Packers have taken in 68 percent of the bets and 86 percent of the money per midweek wagering reports from Caesars Sportsbook. The point spread isn’t the only thing that plummeted however with the total down to 44.5 after getting pushed as high as 46.5. This game couldn’t be bigger for both squads with each sitting just outside the NFC playoff picture looking in. As it stands right now, Green Bay sports a 26 percent chance of punching a ticket to the playoffs with Minnesota chiming in at 29 percent. With a win, the Packers get bumped to 56 percent and the Vikings 50 with the former faring better in the tiebreaker department.
Ty Chandler failed to put forth a solid stat line last week against the tough nosed run defense of the Detroit Lions. Luckily for him – and Jaren Hall – the Packers run defense pales in comparison to what the Motown Kitties bring to the table. Green Bay’s been ripped for just short of 136 yards per game on the ground (#30) and ponied up a beefy 4.5 yards per carry (No. 26). Those outputs increase to 153 yards per game and 4.8 yards per carry on the road. Though Alexander Mattison returned to the fold last week, he only commandeered two of the Vikings ten overall rushing attempts with Chandler getting the other eight. I fully expect the latter to be the captain of this ship in Week 17 that puts him in line to log another impressive showing much like the one he put forth against Cincinnati back in Week 15 when he got the Bengals for 157 scrimmage yards and a score with 132 of those yards coming on the ground. Chandler’s rushing production will play a large role in Minnesota coming out victorious should that come to pass.
As much as it pains me to say considering I’m a diehard Bears fan, I’ve been impressed with Love’s growth this season. Especially last week when he ranked out as the week’s QB5 by way of getting a solid Panthers secondary for 219 passing yards and 2:0 TD/INT ratio while also logging a rushing score of his own. It must be noted that he was able to churn out that production without Jayden Reed and Christian Watson in the huddle. He also lost Dontayvion Wicks to a chest injury immediately after tossing him a touchdown at the tail end of the second quarter. As of this writing, the only offensive starters not carrying a questionable tag on the roster is Romeo Doubs and Tucker Kraft. Be that as it may, I expect Reed to be back in the huddle and for both of Green Bay’s running backs to be given the green light as well. With that, look for Jordan Love to put the offense on his back and churn out a fine fantasy showing that sets him up to smash his player props at Caesars ultimately putting the Green and Gold in a position to win the game and even up the season rivalry.
