St. John’s at Connecticut Same Game Parlay Pick

February 5, 2025After running through my top prop picks for the quarterback and running back positions in Super Bowl LIX, it’s time to give our attention to the wide receivers and tight ends in hopes of taking it to Caesars Sportsbook in the final game of the NFL betting season. My stance is that the Philadelphia Eagles will be unable to prevent the Kansas City Chiefs from making history on Super Bowl Sunday in a game I have pegged as being lower scoring than the betting market currently forecasts. With that, it’s tough to peg a pass catcher to go off when the expectation is that points will be held to a minimum.
Let’s give it the ‘ol college try anyway! The following are my favorite wide receiver/tight end prop picks for Sunday when the Eagles and Chiefs run it back in Super Bowl LIX from the Caesars Superdome on Sunday, February 9, with kickoff scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET.
Reduced juice betting is one of the best ways for any sports bettor to save money and far too many people don’t take advantage of it. If you are not playing at a sportsbook that offers reduced juice betting then you are simply giving away money.

Though Kansas City’s defense is more susceptible to the pass (#18) than the run (#8), the Eagles will undoubtedly test the waters with their 1-2 backfield punch consisting of Saquon Barkley and Jalen Hurts. How could they not as lethal the duo consistently proved to be throughout 17 regular season matchups followed by a trio in the postseason?
Regardless of the ground game’s success—or lack thereof—I expect Philadelphia’s passing attack to play a key role in this matchup for two reasons. First, as underdogs, the Eagles could face a negative game script, making it nearly impossible to mount a comeback with a run-heavy approach. Second, Kansas City boasts a stout run defense that has allowed just one 100-yard rusher all season. If Saquon Barkley and Jalen Hurts manage to rack up big numbers on the ground, they will have truly earned it.
I’ve already stated that Hurts will have a bigger impact through the air than on the ground, backing that belief by hitting over 18.5 pass completions prop at Caesars. Someone has to be on the receiving end of those throws, right? While he’s not the primary target, DeVonta Smith has thrived against Steve Spagnuolo’s defense in the past. He led the Eagles with 100 receiving yards on seven catches in Super Bowl LVII, and then followed it up with six receptions for 99 yards on eight targets in the rematch the next season. He finished as the leading receiver in both games; at (5/1), I’m betting history repeats itself on Super Bowl Sunday.
- DeVonta Smith Super Bowl LIX WR Prop Pick: Most Receiving Yards (+500)
The regular season was one to forget for the Kansas City Chiefs future Hall of Famer. While the receptions were there (97) for Kelce, the yardage wasn’t after he managed a career-low 823 yards. A year removed from disappointing his fantasy and player prop supporters by only catching five touchdown passes, he went for three through 16 played games this time around. He exceeded the 100-yard receiving plateau only twice, and went into the playoffs with just one touchdown reception over his final six games.
However, the stars aligned for Kelce in the Division Round when he cooked the Houston Texans for his biggest tally of the season which resulted in 117 receiving yards and a touchdown saunter on seven catches. Though he did next to nothing in the AFC title game, I can’t help but think Patrick Mahomes will by heavily reliant upon his most trusted target with history there for the taking.
The Eagles dominated opposing tight ends in the regular season, holding the position to just over 40 receiving yards per game and seven total touchdowns. However, Vic Fangio’s stop unit struggled to contain the position in the playoffs. Tucker Kraft hauled in all five targets for 26 yards, Tyler Higbee posted 54 yards and a touchdown on seven catches, and Zach Ertz exploded for 104 yards on 11 receptions off 16 targets. Recency bias has me of the belief the veteran tight end is primed for a breakout game worthy of a two-leg same game parlay. Don’t be surprised if No. 87 delivers on the grandest of stages which in turn has him being named the game’s MVP. That 16/1 payback on the Super Bowl LIX odds sure look awfully attractive!
- Travis Kelce Super Bowl LIX WR/TE Prop Pick: 90+ Receiving Yards +250 + Anytime Touchdown +125 (+480)
