December 24, 2024Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Dallas Cowboys Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions Recap
The Dallas Cowboys edged the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 26-24 in the Week 16 installment of Sunday Night Football, snapping Tampa Bay’s four-game winning streak and crippling the Bucs chances of winning the NFC South with the loss allowing the Falcons to catch them atop the standings. Despite being eliminated from playoff contention earlier in the day, the Cowboys played spoiler and secured their fourth win NFL odds cover in their last five games. Defensively, Dallas capitalized on Tampa Bay’s mistakes. Jourdan Lewis intercepted Mayfield at the goal line, and Bland’s game-sealing forced fumble capped a strong fourth-quarter performance. Tampa Bay’s defense, which had allowed just 15 points per game during its win streak, struggled early against Dallas’ balanced attack.
Baker Mayfield threw for 303 yards and two touchdowns, including a 13-yard strike to Ryan Miller that brought the Bucs within two points late in the game. However, the comeback was thwarted when DaRon Bland forced a fumble from Rachaad White in the final minutes, allowing Dallas to run out the clock. White also fumbled earlier, highlighting a critical turnover problem for Tampa Bay. Cooper Rush had an efficient outing, passing for 292 yards and a 10-yard touchdown to Jalen Tolbert. CeeDee Lamb starred with 105 receiving yards, including a 52-yard catch that set up Ezekiel Elliott’s 1-yard touchdown plunge allowing Dallas to get out to a 20-7 lead with less than two minutes remaining in the first half. Kicker Brandon Aubrey added four field goals, including two from 58 yards, setting an NFL record with 14 field goals of 50+ yards this season.
I’m still not over this one! The Bucs had no business going down in defeat in this one. Not when taking a deep dive on the box score which finds Tampa outgaining the Cowboys 410-317, out-first downing the home team 25-15, converting at a 50% clip on third down, and hitting paydirt on all three red zone penetrations. Per usual, the great equalizer proved to be giveaways and Dallas won the turnover battle 2-0 which in turn allowed for the home dog to pull out the upset and throw a wrench into the Buccaneers playoff plans. It also didn’t help that Aubrey was able to nail 50+ yarders with little to no effort—the kid was locked in! I still can’t believe the under was still alive with 3+ minutes remaining. Thankfully it hit at PROLINE+ allowing us to avoid laying a goose egg!
Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Dallas Cowboys Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions
The Week 16 installment of Sunday Night Football takes NFL bettors to Arlington where the Dallas Cowboys will attempt to play the role of spoiler when they host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in their final primetime appearance of the NFL betting season. Todd Bowles’ squad rattled off a fourth straight win in impressive fashion last week after flying out to Tinseltown and smashing the Los Angeles Chargers 40-17 as field goal underdogs per the closing NFL odds. As for Mike McCarthy’s troops, they too got back in the win column after going into Carolina and toying with the Panthers en route to scoring the 30-14 outright win as 2.5-point road dogs. PROLINE+ opened the betting odds for this week’s SNF matchup with the Buccaneers laying 3.5-points and the total lined 47.5. The number to beat is yet to move off the opener regardless of the Bucs being aligned with 70+ percent of the bets and 80+ percent of the money, while the total has jumped a full point to 48.5 with the over taking in 70+ percent of the wagering action.
Reduced juice betting is one of the best ways for any sports bettor to save money and far too many people don’t take advantage of it. If you are not playing at a sportsbook that offers reduced juice betting then you are simply giving away money.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Dallas Cowboys NFL Same Game Parlay:
Returning from their Week 11 bye, Tampa Bay sat two-games under .500 and losers of four straight. Since then, the team has rattled off four straight wins against the Giants, Panthers, Raiders, and aforementioned Chargers. The win streak paired with the Atlanta Falcons just snapping its own personal four-game losing streak last week finds Baker Mayfield and his mates atop the NFC South standings a full game ahead of the “Dirty Birds” regardless of being swept in their season rivalry. The key to Tampa’s turnaround has been the play of the offense. Even with Chris Godwin taken out of the equation months back and Mike Evans missing a number of games, the unit has still performed at an electric and efficient level. Hat tip to OC Liam Coen for making it happen. With Bucky Irving tearing things up in his rookie campaign and Rachaad White playing the role of an electric second fiddle, the Bucs enter this tilt averaging a healthy 28.8 points per game while gouging the opposition with nearly 390 yards of combined offense. The end result has equated to Tampa Bay being one of the best over bets in the game with it cashing in at a 9-5 clip!
While were in the giving mood, I’ll begrudgingly hand out some kudos to Mike McCarthy and his coaching staff for preventing things from falling off the rails once it was announced Dak Prescott was done for the season. Now that I’ve already personally cashed my under 10.5 and alt 9.5 alt tickets on Dallas’ season win total, I have no issue sending accolades in the Cowboys direction. Cooper Rush has been serviceable in Dak’s stead playing to an 84.1 QB rating by way of throwing for 1,405 yards and 10:3 TD/INT ratio over six starts. Rico Dowdle has even started to get things going on the ground recently, much to the joy and elation of his player prop and fantasy supporters, popping off for 470 rushing yards and a touchdown over the last month. That being said, the team still stands a bankroll bursting 1-6 straight up (SU) and against the spread (ATS) in its seven played home games. Flat-out bonkers considering Dallas went undefeated and 6-2 against the NFL odds in the regular season a year ago! The over has cashed in five of this year’s matchups as well with an average of 50 points denting the board.
So, we hit the over of the full game and both team’s team totals the last time Dallas played in front of the hometown faithful against Joe Burrow and the Bengals. Nauseatingly, we failed to cash a single leg of that same-game parlay with each defeat coming by the slimmest of margins. Turnovers played a huge role in those end results. So too did Cincy hanging a goose egg in the third quarter after putting 17 on the board in the first half. While giveaways could play a role in this one as well with neither team portraying an ability to take care of the pigskin, I’m a glutton for punishment and will test the waters once again regardless. I also agree with the betting market’s sentiment of laying the points with the Buccaneers who have no business losing this game let alone not winning it going away. When given the chance, Tampa has shown us time and again that it has no issues laying it on. I believe they’ll have that chance in this one, and fully expect them to take full advantage by hanging a crooked number to crush the hopes and dreams of Atlanta who should’ve come out victorious earlier in the day in Michael Penix’s season debut.
