NFL Week 18 Parlay Picks
January 2, 2025College Basketball – Arkansas vs. Tennessee Same Game Parlay
January 2, 2025Xander Schauffele leads the field for this week’s Sentry in Hawaii where many of the world’s top players will be in action. The field will not include World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler who is out due to a minor hand injury. Schauffele is the betting favorite at Caesars at odds of +500. The Plantation Course at Kapalua Resort will host the 60 players who will be playing all four rounds, as there is no cut this week. The Plantation Course is the only par 73 on the PGA Tour schedule. It is time to turn the page on the golf matchups and I have to say that I am very glad that the FedExCup Fall schedule is behind us, as the matchups did not go well in the fall. I am used to winning matchups, so I expect a strong start to the 2025 season. Let’s look at this week’s Sentry matchup picks and also do something a bit different and also look at a group pick.
Reduced juice betting is one of the best ways for any sports bettor to save money and far too many people don’t take advantage of it. If you are not playing at a sportsbook that offers reduced juice betting then you are simply giving away money. Check out the latest Sentry matchup odds at Caesars.
Tournament Notes: It is all about scoring at Kapalua, as last year’s scoring average was 68.364 and final round scoring was even lower at 66.661. It was the lowest final round scoring average since records have been kept. Players should have another great week with wind not expected to be much of an issue except perhaps on Thursday.

Golf Matchup Picks
Sahith Theegala -105 vs. Sam Burns
Theegala finished just a shot back last year in this event. He had five top five finishes a year ago and I expect him to pick up right where he left off. It used to be that we could count on Burns to play well, but last year was disappointing for him. I think he is a go-against until we something different, so I will take Theegala in this matchup.
Collin Morikawa -150 vs. Hideki Matsuyama
Morikawa has been really good in his career at Kapalua. He has played five times and his worst finish is a tie for 7th. I know Matsuyama has also played well in this event, but I still like Morikawa in this matchup.
Akshay Bhatia -125 vs. J.T. Poston
Bhatia could be poised for a big season. I took him in my odds preview and I like him in this matchup even though I respect Poston. Bhatia has the game to excel on this course and last year he finished in a tie for 14th in his course debut. I do like Poston as well, but I think Bhatia is the better player and we get him at a short price in this golf betting matchup.
Ludvig Aberg -115 vs. Patrick Cantlay
Aberg had knee surgery in September and is already back in form, as he is coming off a sixth at the Hero World Challenge. Can we already say that Aberg is a better player than Cantlay? It sure looks like it. Cantlay hasn’t done anything to get us excited about his chances in 2025. I’ll take Aberg in this matchup.
Group Pick
I am going to do something different this season and also include a group pick. I saw this one at Proline+ and it caught my eye. It is for the top continent European player with Ludvig Aberg listed as the favorite at odds of just under 3-1. I think Aberg is a clear standout in the group especially with Viktor Hovland dealing with an injury and with a new swing coach. I think Aberg will finish higher than Hovland, Alexander Noren, Sepp Straka, Stephan Jaeger, Thomas Detry and Matthieu Pavon. I’ll take Aberg at odds of almost 3-1 to win that group.Check out the latest Sentry matchup odds at Caesars.
