February 12, 2025Thunder at Timberwolves Same Game Parlay Pick Recap
It was a rare loss for the Oklahoma City Thunder in their last game before the All-Star break, as they were routed at Minnesota on Thursday, February 13, losing 116-101. It was a loss for the parlay, as we had the Thunder and the game under the total. We warned in advance that it was a tough game to call, as both teams were in difficult situations and motivation was in question with it being the last game before the break. The Thunder came out flat and played poorly in the first quarter and they never recovered. Let’s look at the Thunder at Timberwolves same game parlay recap.
The Thunder’s seven-game winning streak came to an end on Thursday night when the shorthanded Minnesota Timberwolves defeated Oklahoma City 116-101 behind 27 points, 13 rebounds, and seven assists from Naz Reid. As the Wolves (31-25) defeated the West-leading Thunder (44-10) behind a small-ball approach forced by the absence of their regular starting frontcourt, Anthony Edwards scored 23 points and Jaden McDaniels added 21 points to lead the team into the All-Star break. Minnesota had a surge of youthful energy despite playing without four of its top eight scorers. Terrence Shannon, a first-round draft pick, scored all 13 of his points in the first half and was the first player off the bench.
After shooting 2 for 13 in the first half, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Thunder with 24 points, 9 assists, and 8 rebounds. Prior to the game, he led the NBA in scoring with 32.6 points per game, but his run of 25-point games came to a stop at 22.
Oklahoma City had to head north for one final game before the break after defeating Miami at home on Wednesday while Chet Holmgren was rested. After missing 39 games due to a broken pelvis, the second choice in the 2022 draft has struggled a bit in his comeback. In 30 minutes, Holmgren scored 11 points and pulled down 12 rebounds.
Thunder at Timberwolves Same Game Parlay Pick
The Oklahoma City Thunder visit the Minnesota Timberwolves on Thursday night on TNT. It is the last game for both teams before the NBA All-Star break and the Thunder will be listed as road favorites in NBA betting odds. Oklahoma City has been the best team in the NBA this season and in the Western Conference they are head and shoulders above everyone else. This is not the best scheduling spot for the Thunder, as it will be their third game in four days and they will be playing with no rest. They were home against New Orleans on Monday, off on Tuesday and then hosted Miami on Wednesday. It is really a stupid scheduling spot by the NBA with OKC heading out for one game before the All-Star game and playing with no rest. The Timberwolves are not in a good situation either, as this will also be their third game in four days and with no rest, but at least they are at home. They were at Cleveland on Monday, off on Tuesday and then hosted Milwaukee on Wednesday. Let’s look at our Thunder vs. Timberwolves Same Game Parlay picks.

Oklahoma City Thunder
The Thunder were 42-9 SU and 33-15-3 ATS in their first 51 games with 26 games going over the total, 23 going under, with two pushes. OKC is averaging 117.8 points per game which ranks 4th in the league and they are leading the league in fewest points allowed per game at just 104.8. Their superstar, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, leads the team in scoring at 32.7 points per game and in assists with 6 per game. Isaiah Hartenstein leads the team with 12 rebounds per contest.
The Thunder have won most of their game without one of their best players, but now he is back. Chet Holmgren returned recently and he gives OKC even more options. Holmgren was averaging 16.4 points, 8.7 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game before he got hurt. Now that he is back, OKC is even better and that is a scary thought, considering they have already been superb.
Minnesota Timberwolves
The Timberwolves were 30-23 SU and 23-29-1 ATS in their first 53 games with 29 games going over the total and 24 going under. Minnesota is averaging just 111.7 points per game which is 20th in the league and they are giving up 108 points per contest which ranks 4th in the NBA. Anthony Edwards leads the team with 27.2 points per game, Mike Conley leads in assists with 4.6 per contest, while Rudy Gobert leads the team with 10.4 rebounds per contest.
The Timberwolves have been banged up recently so be sure and check the injury status of their key players before making an NBA wager on this contest.
Thunder vs. Timberwolves Series
Minnesota has won six of the last 10 in this series but they are just 4-5-1 ATS with seven of the 10 going under the total. It should be noted, however, that OKC has won and covered three of the last four meetings. The teams have split their last 10 in Minneapolis with the Thunder going 7-2-1 ATS with two games going over the total and eight going under.
Thunder at Timberwolves Same Game Parlay Pick
This is a tough game to call because we really don’t know which team is going to be looking ahead to the NBA All-Star break and not entirely focused on this game. What we do know is that you go against the Thunder at your own risk, as they are the league’s best team and they also cover the spread on a regular basis. I’ll go with OKC in this contest and also play the game under the total.
