The Minnesota Timberwolves visit the Golden State Warriors on Friday night in a game that can be seen on ESPN. Both teams have struggled at times this season and right now it is the Warriors who are headed in the wrong direction, while the Timberwolves may have righted the ship. Golden State still has the better record between the two teams, but Minnesota is considered more of a threat to win this year’s NBA title than Golden State. This will be the first of two straight games in California between Minnesota and Golden State, as the teams will play again on Sunday. Minnesota Timberwolves Team Overview

The Warriors have not played well of late and Minnesota is playing better so I lean with the Timberwolves in this game. It also helps the cause that Golden State is not in a good scheduling situation. This will be the third game in four days for Golden State and they are playing with no rest. There is no question that Minnesota has not played up to expectations so far this season but they have started to show signs of coming out of their early season malaise. Golden State started the season really well, but they are starting to fall back to earth, as they have not played well at all lately. I think the Timberwolves are the right side in this one, although it is still a bit risky to go with Minnesota, as we need to see them fully turn the corner before they can be trusted. I’ll also take the game under the total.
