Qatar Masters Matchups Picks
March 23, 2022Providence vs. Kansas Sweet 16 Betting Odds and Prediction
March 24, 2022UFC Fight Night 205 is set for Saturday night in Columbus, Ohio with Curtis Blaydes taking on Chris Daukaus in the main event. These two have combined for 21 finishes so this fight should be exciting for as long as it lasts. UFC Fight Night 205 can be seen on ESPN+ and there are 13 fights on the card. One of the other fights on the main card has Joanne Wood taking on Alexa Grasso. Wood is 7-7 in the UFC, while Grasso is 5-3. Let’s look at some of the UFC Fight Night 205 props with a focus on Blaydes vs. Daukaus, Wood vs. Allen and Sara McMann vs. Karol Rosa.
Blaydes vs. Daukaus Prop Picks
The main event has Blaydes taking on Daukaus. If nothing else, it should be an interesting fight. Blaydes is listed as a -425 favorite at SugarHouse Sportsbook, so you may want to look at some of the props if you like Blaydes, as laying more than 4-1 is never that attractive. Daukaus is listed at +305 and there is no question he has the power to make this fight interesting, as 10 of the 12 wins for Daukaus have come by KO/TKO.
The best prop available if you like Blaydes would seem to be the one with Blaydes winning by finish. You can get this prop at odds of -125 at SugarHouse Sportsbook. Blaydes is listed as more than a 4-1 favorite, so it is definitely more appealing to lay just -125 on Blaydes getting a finish. Your only danger is if the fight goes to a decision.
If you like Daukaus there are plenty of longshot props to consider. Daukaus is well aware of the skill of Blaydes so he may just decide to play it safe and try to stay out of danger. If that happens, this fight could turn into one that slogs its way to a decision and in that scenario, it is not out of the question that Daukaus could get the win. He is listed at +1200 to win by decision.
Wood vs. Grasso Prop Picks
An interesting matchup on the main card has Joanne Wood taking on Alexa Grasso. Grasso is listed as about a 2-1 favorite int this fight. Wood is 7-7 in the UFC and she has fought some good competition and beaten some good fighters including Jessica Eye. Grasso is 5-3 in the UFC and she has also beaten some good fighters including Karolina Kowalkiewicz.
The most likely scenario in this fight is that it goes to a decision, but the problem with betting that option is that it is expensive. Taking the rounds to go over has a price of more than 3-1. Unless you think one of these two is going to get the finish there are not many props worth considering. The best bet is likely the rounds to go over, but if you think one of these two can get a finish then betting the KO/TKO at +350 is at least worth a look.
McMann vs. Rosa Prop Picks
Sara McMann takes on Karol Rosa on Saturday night and it is Rosa listed as more than a 2-1 favorite. McMann is 12-6 in her career, but she has lost three of her last four fights. Rosa is 15-3 in her career and she has won her last six fights. The question in this fight is why McMann is still fighting. She is 41 years old and has not looked good in recent fights. She would seem to be in over her head in this one against Rosa.
If you like Rosa then laying the price is probably the way to go, although McMann has been very susceptible lately to submission. If you want to lower the price and still take Rosa then you could take her to win by submission or decision at -149. That prop is available at FOXBet. It is hard to make much of a case for taking McMann, so if you like her then you are better off simply taking the +162 price.
