In the blink of an eye the debut regular season in the United Football League will come to a close on Sunday putting a bow on the campaign for half the teams while the other four remaining clubs prepare for the UFL playoffs. In an odd scheduling quirk Week 10 will feature a preview of both semifinal playoff games with the Birmingham Stallions hosting Michigan and the St. Louis Battlehawks entertaining the San Antonio Brahmas. I don’t believe either side is willing to give away any secrets ahead of the playoff games so we can expect a tame environment in those encounters.
After suffering their first loss of the season in Week 9 this is an important outing for the Stallions, who had their lowest point total of the season in an 18-9 loss to San Antonio. The Stallions had scored at least 30 points in their previous four games and reached the 20-point mark in every contest. Since going 5-1 against the UFL betting line in their first six games the Stallions have dropped the last three as a UFL pick against the spread. Despite that Birmingham opened as the biggest favorite on the Week 10 board at Caesars sportsbook laying 8-points. The UFL betting week and the 2024 regular season conclude on Sunday night with what could be the most intense matchup. With only one victory so far this season the Houston Roughnecks and Memphis Showboats will look to avoid being the worst team in the UFL. Memphis earned its only victory in Week 1 downing Houston 18-12 at a 1-point UFL point spread underdog.

Week 10 UFL Parlay Picks
I was on my way to a UFL picks and parlay win last week until Michigan and Houston combined to score 39 points in the second half sending that game OVER the total of 40. Things were looking good with the Panthers holding a 6-3 halftime lead and I’d already hit the OVER on the St. Louis-Arlington matchup and I had the Brahmas at +8 in their outright win over Birmingham. Week 10 might be the most difficult to handicap with two games featuring teams that will duel in the playoffs next week and a matchup between teams that are 1-8. Memphis has lost eight in a row and is just 1-6 against the UFL betting line in its last seven outings.

With the teams set to face each other in the USFL Conference championship next week I expect they’ll play a conservative game not wanting to give away any secrets. Not that there are any with a whole season of tape and a previous game already played. Michigan was handed one of its two losses falling 20-13 in Week 2 and they’ve gone 6-1 since then. That game was tight and the Panthers have played several close games recently winning their last two by a total of 10 points. And the Stallions won two games by a total of 11 points before losing for the first time in Week 9. I’ll back the visitors and the points.
Behind UFL passing leader Luis Perez the Renegades boast a potent offense. They beat Memphis 47-23 in Week 7 and stunned St. Louis 36-22 last week cashing the OVER on the UFL odds in three of their last four games. The teams combined for 57 points in their first meeting easily going over the total, and points are out there for this matchup leading me to back the OVER.
As I go for another UFL parlay win I can see Houston covering the 2-pont UFL point spread against Memphis. It’s hard to claim one team is better than the other since they each have only one win, but the Showboats have lost their games in grand style. Six of their last seven setbacks have been by at least 15 points and they are just 1-6 as a UFL pick against the spread in that span. Houston has been better recently losing its last two games to the best teams in the USFL Conference by a combined 11 points.
