November 21, 2024Warriors at Pelicans Same Game Parlay Recap
The NBA same game parlay for Friday, November 22nd between the Golden State Warriors and New Orleans Pelicans was a loser, as the Warriors couldn’t cover the spread but the game did go under the total. Golden State pulled out a 112-108 win, but they were laying 10.5 points against the Pelicans so they failed to cover the NBA betting pointspread. The NBA betting total just slipped under the total of 221.5. The Warriors decided to sleep walk through much of the game, but they still pulled out the straight up win against a depleted New Orleans team. Let’s recap the same game parlay between the Warriors and Pelicans.

On Friday night, November 22nd, the Golden State Warriors defeated the flailing New Orleans Pelicans 112-108, led by 30 points by Andrew Wiggins, and guaranteed a position in the NBA Cup elimination round. With 19 points from Stephen Curry, the Warriors moved up to 3-0 in West Group C and secured the group’s top spot after Denver’s loss to Dallas. With 18.5 seconds remaining, Buddy Hield made two free throws to conclude his 12-point effort and help Golden State hold off New Orleans. With 5:13 remaining, Wiggins was fouled by Robinson-Earl and spun in a 13-foot floater. The Pelicans didn’t get any closer than 110-108 after he made the three-pointer to put the score at 102-94.
With five seconds left, Trey Murphy III, who had 24 points, missed a 3-pointer that would have given New Orleans the lead after Brandon Boston Jr. had stolen an inbound pass from Golden State. After grabbing Murphy’s missed rebound it was Draymond Green making two free throws for the winning margin of four points. Golden State benefited from depth and balance. Brandin Podziemski and Green each scored eleven points.
With 19 points from Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, 18 from Brandon Ingram, and 16 from Boston, the Pelicans dropped to 1-2 in group play and suffered their tenth defeat in 11 games. After missing seven games due to back pain, Jordan Hawkins came back with six points.
The injury-plagued Pelicans started the game with their 12th different starting lineup of the season (Elfrid Payton, Daniel Theis, Javonte Green, Ingram, and Murphy) after rookie center and first-round draft pick Yves Missi was sidelined due to a strained left shoulder.
Warriors at Pelicans Same Game Parlay
The Golden State Warriors visit the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday night in a game that can be seen on ESPN. The Warriors are off to a very good start this season, as they have won 10 of their first 13 games and they have been a good team to bet on, as they covered the spread in 9 of their first 13 games. On the other side, it has been a rough start for New Orleans, as they were just 4-10 in their first 14 games and a pathetic 4-10 ATS. The Warriors will be listed as road favorites in NBA betting odds for this Friday night ESPN contest. Let’s look at our Warriors vs. Pelicans Same Game Parlay.

Golden State Warriors Team Overview
The Warriors have been a surprise this season, winning 10 of their first 13 games and going a profitable 9-4 ATS. Golden State has also been a good team to bet over the total with nine of their 13 games going over the total. As should be expected, Golden State is thriving offensively, as they average nearly 120 points per game which is 4th-best in the NBA. They are second in the league in three-point percentage at 39%. Surprisingly, their defense has been pretty good, as they are 6th in the league, giving up about 110 points per game. They lead the league in three-point defense. Stephen Curry leads the team at about 23 points per game and he leads the team in assists at 6.4 per contest. Kevon Looney leads the team in rebounding at 8.4 per contest.
New Orleans Pelicans Overview
The Pelicans have not done much right this season, as they are 4-10 SU and 4-10 ATS with seven games going over the total and seven going under. They have been decimated by injuries with Zion Williamson and CJ McCollum out of the lineup. New Orleans is pathetic on offense without two of their top players, averaging just 104.6 points per game, next to last in the league. They are giving up 113.4 points per game which is 18th in the NBA. Brandon Ingram leads the team at 23.6 points per game, Dejounte Murray leads in assists at 10 per game and in rebounds per game with eight.
Golden State has won six of the last ten meeting in this series and they are 7-3 ATS with four games going over the total and six going under. The teams played late last month at Golden State with the Warriors winning two blowouts by the score of 124-106 and 104-89. The teams have split their last ten in New Orleans both straight up and against the spread with seven of the 10 going under the total.
Warriors at Pelicans Same Game Parlay Pick
Is there any reason to back New Orleans right now? Ingram is a good player but he can’t do it all by himself. The Warriors have been playing really well all season and even on the road they have been decent. This is also not the best spot for New Orleans, as they will be playing their third game in four days. They did have Thursday off, but now they come home after a road trip and have to face a high-scoring Golden State team. I don’t like their chances. I’ll go with Golden State as the side. I am tempted to take the over, but the total will likely be inflated and the trends point to this game going under, so I will take the under as the other half of the parlay.
