Super Tuesday College Hoops Parlay Legs
February 6, 2023What Gamblers Need is Another Holiday!
February 7, 2023There are nine games on the NBA schedule for Wednesday, February 8, including a pair of ESPN games, as the Philadelphia 76ers visit the Boston Celtics, while the Dallas Mavericks are at the Los Angeles Clippers. Hanging over all of these games is the NBA trading deadline which is on Thursday. There could be some players who are held out of Wednesday’s action if teams are considering trading them on Thursday. Let’s look at some teams to consider for your Wednesday NBA parlays.
Wednesday, February 8th Parlay Teams
Indiana Pacers
The Pacers visit the Heat on Wednesday night and while there is no question that Miami is the better team, the Heat have not been a good team this season against the spread. The Heat began this week at just 21-31-2 ATS, while the Pacers were 29-26 ATS. The Heat are going to be listed as solid home favorites in this game, so we should be catching some big points with the Pacers. We’ll take Indiana as the first team in the Wednesday parlay.
Sacramento Kings
One of the bigger surprises this season has been Sacramento, as they are currently in a solid position to make the playoffs. The Kings have also been pretty good against the spread this season, going 28-23-1 ATS. The Rockets are going nowhere and they have not been a good team against the number, as they are 22-30-1 ATS. The Kings will be laying points, but the Rockets haven’t done anything to inspire much confidence, so we’ll take the Kings as the second team in the Wednesday parlay.
Portland Trail Blazers
The Blazers are hovering right around the cutoff mark to make the NBA Playoffs and every game is critical. They have what could be a winnable home game on Wednesday, as they host the Warriors. Golden State has not been anything special this season and they have had injury concerns almost all season. They have that problem again now, with Stephen Curry out of the lineup. The Blazers have been okay against the spread at 28-25 ATS, while the Warriors are overvalued on a nightly basis. They are just 24-28-1 ATS. Portland should have some value in this one and we’ll take them as the third team in the parlay.
Wednesday, February 8th Totals
I’ll make a separate category here and give you a few totals to consider for your Wednesday NBA parlays. It should be noted that totals are one of those things that can be really streaky and that might be a good thing for parlays, as we need to hit everything to win, so going all or nothing on totals is not a bad thing.
The Raptors and Spurs have been going over the total this season and they face each other on Wednesday night. Neither team is one that you would necessarily want to bet on, but when they match up against one another, it could be a high scoring game. The Raptors have gone over in 31 of their first 55 games, and San Antonio went over in 32 of their first 53 games. I’ll go over with the Raptors and Spurs.
The high-profile matchup late on ESPN has the Clippers facing the Mavericks. The Mavericks got Kyrie Irving in a trade but it seems unlikely he will be in the lineup for this game. I think the trading deadline will be a factor for both of these teams and I just can’t see them being totally focused. The Clippers have been a good team to bet under the total with 32 games going under the total and the Mavericks haven’t been the over team you might think. I’ll go under the total with the Clippers and Mavericks.
I noted some info earlier in the Pacers and Heat, but I didn’t mention the total. The Pacers went over 29 times, over 25 times, with one push in their first 55 games. The Heat went under the total in 30 of their first 54 games. I’ll go under the total with the Pacers and Heat on Wednesday.
