Wednesday, November 29 NBA Parlay Picks

The final Wednesday in November has seven games on tap to pick from for a NBA parlay at BetRivers sportsbook. After winning eight of their first nine games the Philadelphia 76ers cooled off a bit with losses in four of six games. Ahead of their showdown with Boston the Sixers have a date in the Big Easy with Zion Williamson and the Pelicans. The defending champion Denver Nuggets are hoping some home cooking gets them out of a funk. They finished off a recent 1-4 road trip with a 19-point loss to Houston going 0-5 as a NBA point spread pick. The Nuggets were below .500 on the road last regular season but their dominance at home carried them to the O’Brien Trophy. They’ll get a chance to exact some revenge by playing host to the Rockets.

Last week’s NBA parlay nearly turned a profit with two of three picks hitting. But as we all know every NBA wager on a card has to win for the parlay to pay out. The Celtics were a profitable NBA line pick last season but not so much in the early going this year. I backed Boston in their tilt with Milwaukee and though they won the game they failed to cover the 6-point spread. My other two picks hit with the Wizards blowing a big fourth quarter lead but staying within the 3.5-point spread in their 117-114 loss at Charlotte. Dallas got me the other win beating the Lakers 104-101 as a 1-point favorite.

NBA Schedule for Wednesday, November 29

Philadelphia 76ers at New Orleans Pelicans, 8 p.m. ET

Utah Jazz at Memphis Grizzlies, 8 p.m. ET

Houston Rockets at Denver Nuggets, 9 p.m. ET

A three-team NBA parlay is kind of a standard bet. Multi-team wagers on the same ticket are hard to win and the odds move in favor the house when more bets are made. A healthy payout is attractive but there’s no reason to get greedy since we can make a nice chunk of change going this route. I mentioned the Sixers hit a bit of a lull after their eight-game winning streak that saw them go 2-4 as a NBA odds pick.

When at full strength the Pelicans can be a nasty group. Williamson averaged nearly 28 points in six-game stretch that saw New Orleans go 5-1 SU and 6-0 as a NBA betting pick. The Pels scored at least 115 points in every game. With Williamson taking a breather on Saturday, the Pelicans were upset, 105-100, by Utah. With a bulk of the offense coming from three players and one of those guys currently sidelined, points are difficult to come by. Williamson, who averages 23.2 points, should be back for Wednesday’s contest. Brandon Ingram scores a team-best 24.6 points per game and C.J. McCollum averages 21.7. And catching the Sixers peeking ahead to a crucial early season bout with Boston I think the Cs are primed for a letdown.

The Memphis Grizzlies have been a huge disappointment this season. They opened with six straight losses and haven’t recovered dropping 12 of their first 15 games. Injuries and suspensions have decimated the roster, but they’ve played some high-scoring games with the Jazz. Just a few weeks ago Utah got 26 points from Lauri Markkanen and Jordan Clarkson in a 127-121 win. The Jazz were victorious 133-109 in the first meeting between the clubs cashing the OVER both times. The teams haven’t won a lot of games but they have scored making the OVER a NBA best bet on the parlay card.

The Nuggets miss Jamal Murray and they also miss playing at home. Unbeaten through their first seven home games they’re back after a disastrous road trip. And they’d like nothing better than to deliver some payback for a painful loss on that trip. Just last week Denver was rocked 105-86 by the Rockets, but things will be different this time around. Nikola Jokic has sparkling numbers through the first month of the season averaging 28.2 points, 13.5 rebounds and 8.9 assists. I expect the Joker will be the main attraction and backing the defending champs at home with revenge on their mind is a good NBA pick.
