September 8, 2023MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Monday, September 11
September 8, 2023So who’s ready to partake in some Week 1 player prop betting action over at Caesars Sportsbook?! I fully expect each and every one of your hands to be up right now! A loaded weekend of NFL player prop betting awaits and I can’t wait to get it all started with a trio of player prop bets I already locked in but would still play at the current offerings. I’m bullish on all three of these cats making waves over the entirety of the 2023-24 NFL betting season and have no issue putting more money where my mouth is right out of the chute – SLAM YOUR MAN!!

Bet Justin Herbert Over 290.5 Passing Yards -115 at Caesars Sportsbook
The Chargers QB1 is my premiere flag plant entering the 2023-24 NFL betting season as the ringleader of my home league fantasy team. With Austin Ekeler in the backfield, Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, Josh Palmer, Gerald Everett, and rookie Quentin Johnson comprising the pass catching corps, and PFF’s No. 9 ranked O-Line protecting him, there’s no excuse for the AFC West reps to not sport one of if not the most lethal offenses in the NFL. Justin Herbert wasn’t 100 percent last season yet still managed to throw for 4,700+ yards and 25 touchdowns. With new OC Kellen Moore’s deep-strike attack invading Tinseltown, No. 10 will be in the mix for MVP honors and I recommend locking him in at 11-1 right now! The Dolphins pass defense will be without prized offseason acquisition Jalen Ramsey. Herbert ripped Miami for 367 yards and a score while completing 76.4 percent of his 51 passes in a game that wasn’t nearly as competitive as the 23-17 final score indicates. Expect the rematch to play out differently with linemakers at Caesars tagging the matchup with second highest O/U of Week 1. His passing yards prop is fattening up from the 287.5 opener, but it doesn’t matter – he’s going for three spins!
Bet J.K. Dobbins Over 58.5 Rushing Yards -115 at Caesars Sportsbook
The Ravens are one of only two teams listed as touchdown or greater home favorites in Week 1 NFL betting. Baltimore initially hit the board as 9.5-point favorites against a Texans team that will be trotting out a rookie quarterback making his first professional start in a hostile road environment. The number to beat has since climbed to -10 with the total down a full point to 44 from the 45 opener. This one has the possibility of becoming as one-sided as it gets with the home team cruising to the dominant home win and cover. Even before that happens, I expect J.K. Dobbins to do his fantasy and player prop supporters a solid by going over this disrespectful impost. Said to now be fully healthy, I’m expecting a huge showing from J.K. in 2023-24, and it all starts with a run-in with what ended up being the league’s absolute worst run defense that was gouged for 170+ yards and 5.1 yards per carry (No. 29). While much was done in the offseason to shore up the issue via trade, the draft, and free agency, it’ll take time for DeMeco Ryans stop unit to come into its own. The number to beat has jumped from the 56.5 opener but not enough. Dobbins goes for 60+ and likely hits pay dirt at least once should you have the urge to throw those outcomes in a two-leg SGP.
Bet Brian Robinson Jr. Over 57.5 Rushing Yards -115 at Caesars Sportsbook
I think NFL bettors are sleeping on the Commanders entering the regular season. Sam Howell brings a dimension under center not seen in the nation’s capital in seemingly forever. His ability to get the job done with his arm and legs will go a long way in allowing the Washington offense to open up some eyes and shatter last season’s offensive outputs. Though PFF has Washington owners of the league’s No. 27 ranked offensive line, the unit should be able to have its way with a completely retooled Cardinals defense that owned a middle of the road run defense a season ago and lost a ton from that side of the ball due to the offseason housecleaning. Washington is the other Week 1 home chalk of seven or more points, and I believe it to be highly warranted with Ron Rivera looking to get the year started off with a bang. Brian Robinson Jr. is the RB1 of this offense. While not cut from the ilk of Saquon Barkley or Christian McCaffrey, he’s a big dude that will be fed the most backfield carries. Robinson only failed to hit the 60-yard plateau two of the eight times he received 15+ carries his rookie year. One of those outings came against the 49ers No. 2 ranked run defense. That type of utilization will see him go off for a big opening week tally! Prop bettors agree with his number to beat up 10 yards from the 47.5-opener.
