Illinois Continues to Post Strong Sports Betting Numbers
October 19, 2023Monday Night Football Same Game Parlay: 49ers vs. Vikings
October 20, 2023The opportunity was there to sweep all six of our NFL player prop bets at Caesars Sportsbook last week, but we ultimately split the card and failed to cash either of the touchdown props. Baltimore invaded Tennessee’s red zone six times yet only hit pay dirt once which led to Lamar Jackson only throwing one touchdown instead of the two needed while exceeding his 270.5 passing + rushing yards prop with ease. I knocked it out of the park in the all-out fade of Rachaad White who was nothing if not invisible against the Lions stout run D with his seven overall carries going for a paltry 26 yards and 3.7 yard per carry average. We coasted to ticket cashes on the under of his rushing yards (52.5) and attempts (14.5) props because of it. Going in, I knew Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua were going to be Matthew Stafford’s primary choices. However, I still banked on Tutu Atwell coming up with at least one if not two chunk plays through the air against Arizona’s pass-catcher friendly defense. While he did come up with one of those chunk plays, it only went for 30 yards instead of the 40 needed and didn’t result in a touchdown. We’re yet to have a blowout week betting player props; that changes in Week 7 – SLAM YOUR MAN!!

Kenneth Walker III Over 76.5 Rushing Yards -115 + Anytime Touchdown -275 + Multiple Touchdowns +200
Due to Christian McCaffrey’s unknown availability heading into Monday night’s showdown with the Vikings, Kenneth Walker III is the owner of the highest rushing yards prop at the time of this writing. It’s extremely warranted as bad Arizona has been defending opposing running backs with it serving up north of 130 yards per game (No. 24), 4.5 yards per attempt (No. 25), and 1.3 rushing touchdowns per game. Check out what Kyren Williams did to it last week! While it’s been near league-average in red zone defense (No. 18), it’s allowing a league-high 5.0 penetrations per game. Before punching it in on just 1-of-5 red zone appearances in the ‘Natti last week, the Seahawks ranked No. 13 in red zone scoring percentage converting at a near 59 percent clip.
Seattle is currently an 8-point favorite at Caesars Sportsbook for this divisional battle with a Cardinals outfit that looks to be running out of gas. Numerous opportunities to go HAM should be there for Seattle’s RB1 who just logged season highs in snap share, touches, and backfield touch share against the Bengals. He’s hit pay dirt at least once in four straight games and already cashed a +450 ticket for us to score 2+ tuddies earlier this season. So long as the match doesn’t get too out of hand quickly, K9 should exceed the century mark for the first time this season and be in line to score multiple touchdowns. Patrick Mahomes Over 306.5 Passing + Rushing Yards -115 + Over 2.5 Touchdown Passes +160
Linemakers initially posted the total for this crucial AFC West clash between the Chargers and Chiefs at 52. For one reason or another, total bettors have hammered the under at Caesars lowering the number to beat all the way down to 48. I’m not seeing it! This has back-and-forth shootout written all over it with Mother Nature not expected to be a nag with reports calling for temps in the upper 60s, clouds, no precipitation, and sub 10mph winds. Patrick Mahomes has made it a habit of shredding the Bolts defense over the course of his six-year career, but I’ll only go back the last two seasons to back these positions up. In those four run-ins with Brandon Staley calling the defensive shots, Mahomes has thrown for 1,234 yards (308.5), 11 touchdowns (2.75), and turned his 13 overall rushing attempts into just short of 100 yards. In other words, LA’s defense has simply had no answer for No. 15.
Yet to truly impress to date yet still clocking in as the league’s No. 4 ranked fantasy quarterback, I expect him to go off against a Bolts defense that could come in a bit fatigued on short rest off just partaking in a physical battle with the Cowboys Monday night. Stouter versus the run (No. 14), no pass defense has been worse than LA’s with it getting ripped for 289 yards and 1.6 TD per game (No. 25) – an output that increases to 2.0 on the road. With Bosa and Mack coming off the edges and KC’s front wall firmly adept at withstanding pressure evidenced by the league’s No. 1 ranked sack percentage allowed (2.5%), the middle off the field will open up nicely for Mahomes to add chunk yards to the overall output on the ground. Look for the frontrunner to take home the MVP Award to shine in this smash spot!
Brandon Aiyuk Over 65.5 Receiving Yards -115 + Anytime Touchdown +150
Brock Purdy and the 49ers offense could be without the services of Christian McCaffrey and Deebo Samuel when they invade the Twin Cities to lock horns with the Minnesota Vikings under the lights of Monday Night Football. Though George Kittle remains healthy and in the mix, Brandon Aiyuk would become Purdy’s primary target should both or at least one of the walking wounded be unable to suit up. Even with both on the field a majority of the Niners six played games, Aiyuk has still shined for his fantasy and player prop supporters turning his 37 overall targets into 25 receptions, 454 receiving yards and a couple scores. Most importantly, he’s averaged a whopping 18.2 yards per reception (No. 6) on a minimum of 200 snaps which sits only behind Olamide Zaccheaus (18.5), Rashid Shaheed (18.6), Nico Collins (18.9), Tyreek Hill (19.4), and Justin Watson (21.9).
No. 11 hasn’t hit paydirt since the opening week of the season when he got the Steelers for a pair of scores and 129 yards. I sense another one of those banner showings being in line Week 7, so I want to be chock full of Aiyuk overs once opening kick arrives. I’m talking receiving yards, receptions, longest reception, anytime touchdown, multiple touchdowns – you name it! Unfortunately, a majority of those offerings are yet to hit the board at the time of this writing due to linemakers waiting on injury news. In the meantime, we’ll target his receiving yards and anytime touchdown props at Caesars Sportsbook with Purdy ranked amongst the league-leaders in EPA/Play under pressure (No. 6) and No. 13 expected to see a ton of it with Brian Flores blitzing at far and away the highest rate in the league (57.9%).
