Although Kansas City’s starting lineup isn’t seen to be as deep as that of other playoff hopefuls, it is anchored by rookie Bobby Witt Jr., who, but for Aaron Judge, probably would have won the AL MVP award. In the meantime, Seth Lugo finished 16-9 with a 3-1 ERA and 181 strikeouts, proving to be a tremendous free-agency steal.
