NFL Betting – Stetson Bennett NFL Draft Props
April 19, 2023Thursday, April 20 MLB Best Bets
April 19, 2023With one week left in the XFL regular season half the postseason spots are still up for grabs bringing an exciting conclusion to the reboot campaing. And speaking of exciting, we had a good time on our XFL parlay picks last week hitting a three-team winner continuing a recent run of success with our second winning ticket in the last three weeks. Needing a win last week to stay alive for the second playoff spot in the North Division, the Seattle Sea Dragons took care of St. Louis 30-12 while catching 2.5-points on the XFL betting line at BetRivers sportsbook. I backed the visitors with St. Louis QB A.J. McCarron suffering from a sore shoulder. The two enter the final weekend with identical 6-3 records setting up a scenario where multiple tiebreakers could be needed to determine who’s in.
The San Antonio Brahmas kept their playoff hopes alive by beating Orlando, 25-23, though they failed to cover the 2.5-point spread. I backed the Guardians and the points on my parlay card giving me another win. DC improved to 8-1 but it was a struggle to beat Arlington 28-26 in overtime. I backed the dog at +9.5 in that game with the Renegades staying within the spread to give me another winning parlay. Needing a win in Week 10, the Brahmas host the XFL best Defenders catching 3.5-points on the XFL latest line.
Week 10 XFL Parlay Picks
DC has clinched the regular season crown bouncing back from its lone setback to win two straight. Most of the damage has been done by the XFL’s highest scoring offense that averages nearly 30 points. Over their last seven games the Defenders are averaging more than 32 points, which is enough to cover for a porous defense. The OVER is 7-0 in that span. Houston secured the South Division title winning its last two games following a 0-3 SU and ATS skid. The rest of the division is all below .500 with an Arlington win in Week 10 over the Roughnecks guaranteeing the two would meet again in the playoff semifinals. In their battle for second-place in the North, Seattle and St. Louis are big favorites. The Sea Dragons are laying 9-points for their home tilt with Vegas while the Battlehawks are an 8-point favorite to beat Orlando.
Vegas Vipers at Seattle Sea Dragons ( o/u 46.5 )
Seattle’s offense has been clicking scoring at least 30 points in the last two games. Ben DiNucci directs the XFL’s most potent passing game throwing for 2,332 yards, about 600 more than A.J. McCarron. His 17 TD passes are also the second-most of any QB. DiNucci was sharp in a must-win game against St. Louis going 21 of 31 for 260 yards and two scores. He added 38 yards and a score on seven rush attempts as the Sea Dragons’ balanced attack produced 123 yards on the ground. Vegas is out of the playoff picture and it’s hard to imagine a struggling defensive team doing enough to slow DiNucci as Seattle looks for a playoff berth. The teams played a wild game in Week 3 with DiNucci tossing four TD passes and Seattle compiling 519 total yards to cash the OVER in a 30-26 win. I look for more of the same in Week 10.
XFL Parlay Pick: Seattle / Vegas OVER 46.5
Houston Roughnecks ( +1 ) at Arlington Renegades
We saw Houston bounce back nicely with two straight wins to secure the South title. And they’ve been really good against division foes going 5-0 SU and 4-1 ATS while not allowing more than 16 points in any of those games. Arlington needs a win to secure second-place and a playoff berth so there is added motivation on their side. But Houston has been too good against its own handling the Renegades easily when the clubs met in Week 2. With the division already secured it would have been easy for the Roughnecks to fold after falling behind by two scores last week. Instead, the defense sparked a comeback with a pair of touchdowns and the rest of the offense picked up the slack for Brandon Silvers in the 28-21 comeback win over Vegas, showing there’s no quit. I’ll back Houston as my XFL pick against the spread in this one.
XFL Parlay Pick: Houston +1
Orlando Guardians ( +8.5 ) at St. Louis Battlehawks
Their good fortune from earlier in the season has worn off leaving St. Louis scrambling to reach the postseason. They still control their own destiny with a win securing second-place in the XFL North. They had a chance last week and pissed down their leg in a 30-12 loss to Seattle. Returning from a shoulder injury, A.J. McCarron was frustrated tossing a pair of picks and St. Louis never got going. They’ll probably beat Orlando, but we’ve seen the Guardians play a number of close games going 4-1 ATS when catching at least 7-points on the XFL betting line. I’ll back them again with the points.
XFL Parlay Pick: Orlando +8.5
