College Football Odds – #1 Alabama at Texas
Kickoff for the Crimson Tide and Longhorns at DKR Texas Memorial Stadium is at noon ET with television coverage on FOX. Alabama opened as a 20-point favorite.
Alabama was in national championship form in their week one win over the Utah State Aggies. And Bryce Young could rock a second Heisman Trophy in as many years. Sarkisian’s program is in its second year and nowhere near the level and depth of Alabama. Look for Saban and the Tide to roll over their old friend and show who is boss.

Betting on College Football – Missouri at Kansas State
Kickoff for the Tigers and Wildcats at Bill Snyder Family Stadium is at noon ET with television coverage on ESPN2. K-State opened as an 8-point chalk.
This is a matchup of old Big 8 and later Big 12 rivals. Kansas State could soon be ranked and in contention for the Big 12 championship. Nebraska transfer Adrian Martinez is an upgrade at quarterback for the Wildcats. And the supporting cast for Martinez is much better than he had at Nebraska. Still, this is a big number against a Mizzou team that wore down Louisiana Tech in the opener. The Tigers have enough offense to stay within the spread.

NCAA Football Odds – Tennessee at #17 Pitt
Kickoff for the Volunteers and Panthers at Acrisure Stadium is at 3:30 p.m. ET, with television coverage on ABC. Tennessee opened as a 6.5-point favorite.
Last year Pitt upset the Vols at Tennessee, setting up the revenge angle. Last week Pitt needed a late pick-6 to escape West Virginia in a thrilling backyard brawl. Tennessee has one of the most prolific offenses in the country and should light up Pitt. The wrong team is ranked in this one. And the Panthers are in a dangerous letdown spot.

College Football Betting – Iowa State at Iowa
Kickoff for the Cyclones and Hawkeyes at Kinnick Stadium is at 4 p.m. ET with television coverage on Big Ten Network. Iowa opened as a 3.5-point favorite.
Last week the Iowa offense was an abysmal joke. The Hawkeyes got two safeties and a field goal to get past FCS South Dakota State. However, the public’s outrage over the Iowa offense creates a strong contrarian bet opportunity. Iowa State’s win over FCS Southeast Missouri State was much more impressive. The public is moving towards the Cyclones. But the Hawkeyes dominate this series.

NCAAF Betting Odds – USC at Stanford
Kickoff for the Trojans and the Cardinal at Stanford Stadium is at 7:30 p.m. ET, with television coverage on ABC. USC opened as a 9-point favorite.
USC romped over Rice in Lincoln Riley’s coaching debut. In comparison, Stanford had no trouble with FCS Colgate. But Stanford is not on the same level that it used to be. And Riley imported a lot of talent to the Trojans. Last week was a big confidence booster for the Men of Troy.

NCAA Vegas Odds – Georgia Southern at Nebraska
Kickoff for the Eagles and Cornhuskers at Memorial Stadium is at 7:30 p.m. ET, with television coverage on FS1. Nebraska opened as a 23-point favorite.
Nebraska was in serious trouble against North Dakota before pulling away late in a 38-17 win that was closer than the score indicated. Meanwhile, Clay Helton had an easy debut as coach of Georgia Southern in a blowout romp of FCS Morgan State. Nebraska is the big favorite here based on brand. The Huskers should not be laying this many points on anyone. Georgia Southern could even give them another scare.
