Since taking the wood to the Lions early and needing to hold on late just to get out of dodge with the win, the Eagles have made it a point to keep the backdoor shut over the last two weeks. They raced out to comfortable double-digit halftime leads versus the Vikings and Commanders but continued stepping on their throat the rest of the way to win by margin.
Nick Sirianni’s squad has seen its odds to win Super Bowl LVII shrink dramatically over the last couple weeks. Naturally, their odds of winning this division have followed suit with Philly now the runaway favorites to seal the deal. This team is thrashing all that stands in its way right now, and it doesn’t look to be changing anytime soon as easy the schedule looks to be on paper the rest of the way. Remember, Sharp Football Analysis had the schedule ranked the second easiest behind only the New York Giants heading into the regular season.
Truthfully, it looks like the Dallas Cowboys are the only team that could give them a run for their money. That makes the hated rivals meetings in Week 6 and 18 Must-See TV! Should surprising Jacksonville spring the upset this weekend, it would open up a buy window. Still, the window of opportunity looks to have all but slammed shut. This team likely runs away and hides provided Jalen Hurts and the bulk of his teammates remain healthy.

No Dak Prescott, no problem for America’s Team who’ve rattled off a pair of wins and covers over the last two weeks against Cincinnati and the division rival Giants. It pains me to say, but I came away extremely impressed with the way Dallas handled itself in the Monday nighter against the GMEN.
Cooper Rush looked more than serviceable under center, while the 1-2 battery of Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard did major damage en route to racking up 176 yards on the ground. Most importantly, the defense was dominant in sacking Daniel Jones five times while accruing a boat load of hurries.
If Big D’s defense can churn out efforts like that every passing week, it’ll have a say in how this division ultimately shakes out. That being said, I still have major reservations about the coaching staff and firmly believe Mike McCarthy will find a way to muck it all up. With Dak Prescott set to return to action in about a month, these next four weeks will be extremely telling against Washington, @Rams, @Eagles, Lions.

This one hurts. It really does. Along with investing in the over of the Giants season wins total, I also took a stab on the GMEN to be the last undefeated team. Before you laugh about the latter, just know NY had an opportunity to be one of the last three had it defeated Dallas Monday night.
While Saquon Barkley continued the excellent start to his 2022-23 campaign, nobody else could rise to the occasion. Danny Dimes was under constant duress from the Cowboys relentless pressure all game long, and it proved to be the main culprit for the loss.
I’m still bullish on this squad regardless. We’re yet to see the true defense with Ojulari and Thibodeaux only returning to action Monday night. If the run defense can be shored up and the offense has someone step up in the receiver corps – paging Kadarius Toney – I still believe this squad will be one to deal with. Losing to Dallas wasn’t ideal, but I forecast the GMEN to look entirely different for the Week 12 rematch. They also don’t face Philadelphia until Week 14.
As easy the schedule is expected to be – ranked No. 1 easiest – I don’t foresee the Giants odds getting much longer than 10-1 the rest of the way. Throw in a pizza money investment if you don’t own any shares.

Little if anything to report here with the Commanders a likely fluke comeback win against Jacksonville from heading into Week 4 winless. Last week’s effort at home versus Philadelphia was embarrassing with a capital E! There were rumors of Ron Rivera losing the locker room at the outset of the season. I dismissed that as nothing but hot noise. But if true, it’ll likely only be a matter of time until there’s a mutiny and a change in some way, shape, or form must be made.
Linemakers at BetRivers seem to have thrown the towel in on this team as well evidenced by the rate of return climbing significantly in a matter of three weeks.
