NFL Thursday Night Preview – Miami Dolphins vs. Cincinnati Bengals
September 27, 20222022 League of Legends World Championship Group Stage Betting Preview
September 27, 2022We are entering Week 4 of the NFL season, meaning another trio of picks on the total are headed your way. Last week, two of three games hit with the Steelers and Browns going over, while the Lions and Vikings fell under. Unfortunately, we didn’t see a clean sweep as the Packers and Bucs game turned into a defensive battle, but we’ll take 2-1.
Now, we focus on a new lineup of contests this weekend in hopes of keeping the momentum rolling. BetMaker will now look ahead to Week 4, giving three more games to pick on the total. This week, we’re eyeing matchups between the Steelers and Jets, the Titans and Colts, and the Panthers and Cardinals in what should be an entertaining slate of Sunday action.

Tennessee Titans vs. Indianapolis Colts (OVER 42.5)
The Titans and Colts have both been largely underwhelming to this point. Indianapolis sits at 1-1-1 after getting a huge win over the Chiefs on Sunday. They, however, lost to the Jaguars and tied the Texans after a couple of poor season-opening performances.
Tennessee enters at 1-2 with losses to the Giants and Bills, along with a close win over the Raiders last week. With both teams finally getting in the win column last week, they’ll be eager to continue their winning ways. And if the series history indicates anything, it’s that we’ll see a lot of points.
The total for this matchup currently sits at 42.5 points. We’ve seen seven of the last ten meetings best 43 points, which has led to a 6-4 record on the OVER. Both sides have strong offensive units led by potent rushing attacks. Derrick Henry and Jonathan Taylor will duel it out against middling defenses. Tennessee’s run defense, in particular, is allowing 145 yards per game.
Expect to see some points on the scoreboard in a game that goes OVER the total.
The Pick: OVER 42.5 points
Arizona Cardinals vs. Carolina Panthers (UNDER 44)
The Cardinals and Panthers have been mediocre for the most part on offense this year. Both are averaging 20.7 points per outing while sporting identical 1-2 records. Carolina is averaging less than 300 yards per game as a unit, while Arizona has seen a bit more success in production, it hasn’t led to an advantage on the scoreboard.
When these two foes meet, they tend to light up the scoreboard. The Panthers won last year’s meeting 34-10, giving them their sixth straight win in the series. That 44-point total led to the OVER hitting, which is now 5-0-1 in the last six meetings.
But this Sunday, the two teams could be dealing with some subpar weather conditions with Hurricane Ian expected to make its way up to the Carolinas this weekend. If conditions are wet and windy, we’ll bank on the under-hitting.
The Pick: UNDER 44 points
Pittsburgh Steelers vs. New York Jets (UNDER 41.5)
The Steelers and Jets face off in a matchup that features a pair of bad offensive units. Pittsburgh has scored just four offensive touchdowns through three games, most recently being beaten 29-17 by the Browns. They’ve yet to reach the 20-point mark as an offense, leading to criticism of both quarterback Mitch Trubisky and offensive coordinator Matt Canada.
In New York, the Jets have sandwiched two bad performances around a 31-point output against Cleveland. That 31-30 win saw the Jets erase a two-score deficit in the final minute and a half of action to land their only win of the season. They put up just nine and 12 points in their two losses.
Both defenses should have the advantage here, as the UNDER is 1-2 for both teams this season, and it could very easily be 0-3 for the Steelers. Pittsburgh’s only OVER hit on the final play of last week’s contest as the Browns recovered a meaningless fumble after a series of Steelers laterals. We’ll follow that trend again on Sunday in a game that should fall below this 41.5-point total.
The Pick: UNDER 41.5 points
